EducLex Android App Privacy Policy
Effective 30 October 2026
Who operates the app
EducLex is operated by Aaron Martin Joshi, Australia. This notice applies to the native EducLex Android NCLEX study app, package com.educlex.study, including its questions, rationales, CAT simulations, topics, learning materials, profile and owner publishing tools. For privacy enquiries or requests, email aarxnmj@gmail.com.
Learners do not create an account or sign in. Website accounts are a separate service. The Android app does not upload learners’ question responses or scores to an EducLex account.
Study data kept on your device
The app stores selected answers, question IDs, partial-credit scores, answer times, question drafts, active sessions, CAT deadlines and results, saved questions, mistake history, reading completion, daily goals and exam dates in its private device storage. It uses these records to resume study and calculate readiness, accuracy, streaks and activity statistics. Bundled content and downloaded public content revisions are also stored on the device.
Local counters, timestamps and completed-question identifiers manage ad frequency. A completed rewarded-ad unlock is saved with its CAT attempt. These local learning and unlock records are not sent by EducLex to its learning-content server or supplied as ad-request parameters.
Network requests and information you choose to send
The app downloads public learning additions and question-text revisions over HTTPS. Our hosting and infrastructure providers process connection information, such as IP address and request information, to deliver content, protect the service and diagnose failures. This is separate from your locally stored study history.
If you choose “Report by email” or contact support, your email app lets you review and send the message. We receive your sender address, message and any question identifier or attachments you include. Do not include passwords or identifiable patient information. Opening an external source or advertisement sends you to a service with its own privacy practices.
Google advertising and consent
The app includes Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). Advertising formats include banner, interstitial, app-open, native and rewarded ads. Interstitial opportunities occur after five completed questions or reading checkpoints. Starting a new CAT attempt requires choosing and completing a rewarded ad; resuming that unlocked attempt does not require another reward. Ad availability depends on consent eligibility and inventory.
Google’s advertising SDK collects and shares IP addresses, app/ad interactions, performance diagnostics and device or account identifiers, including Android advertising ID and app set ID where available. IP information can indicate general location. Google uses this information for advertising, measurement and abuse prevention. Non-personalized ad requests do not mean that no data is collected.
EducLex requests non-personalized ads and waits for UMP to permit ad requests before initializing ads. Where applicable, UMP displays a consent form. In the app, open Profile → Advertising privacy choices to review or change choices when Google makes that option available. Android’s advertising settings also let you manage or delete your advertising ID; the available controls depend on your Android version.
See Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from partner apps and Google Mobile Ads data disclosures. Google’s handling and retention of advertising data follow its policies and your available choices.
Owner access and published materials
Owner tools are restricted to an existing authorized EducLex owner account and a separate editing authorization. Owner email, password and the editing code are transmitted over HTTPS for verification. The Android app holds its owner session cookies in memory, clears them on sign-out and does not persist the password or cookies to disk. Server-side account and authorization records support access control and security.
Confirmed published materials, question wording and rationales are stored on EducLex’s server and made available to other app users. They are public educational content. Unpublished form text is not sent to the public content feed. Published content must not include personal or patient information.
Sharing, processing locations and security
We use hosting and infrastructure providers to deliver content, Google for advertising and consent, and email services for messages you send. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to investigate misuse and protect the service. EducLex does not sell your locally stored study history or provide your answers, drafts, exam dates or owner credentials to advertising requests. Advertising involves the Google data sharing described above.
Service providers may process information outside Australia, including in countries where they operate. Network communication uses HTTPS/TLS. Private device storage and server authentication and authorization controls help protect information. The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, precise location or health-record permissions for its study features. It is an educational product and does not need your medical history.
Retention, access and deletion
Your local progress, preferences, ad counters, CAT unlocks and cached content remain on the device until removed or replaced. To delete the Android app’s local data, use Android Settings → Apps → EducLex → Storage → Clear storage/data, or uninstall the app. Wording varies by device. This removes saved progress and unlocked CAT attempts. The app does not enable Android cloud backup of its private files, and EducLex cannot restore local-only progress after deletion.
There is no learner account to delete in this Android app. For support messages or owner-account information held by EducLex, request access, correction or deletion by emailing aarxnmj@gmail.com. We may need to verify the request without asking for your password. Support records are retained while needed to resolve the enquiry and for applicable security or legal obligations, then deleted when no longer needed. Owner account records remain while required for the account and those obligations. Published revisions remain public until removed or superseded. Provider-controlled advertising and operational records follow the relevant provider’s retention practices; clearing EducLex storage does not delete information already held by those providers.
Children, privacy rights and policy changes
EducLex is intended for nursing students and people preparing for the NCLEX, and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to EducLex, contact us to request its removal. Do not submit identifiable patient details.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent or complain to your privacy regulator. Contact aarxnmj@gmail.com to exercise rights concerning information held by EducLex. Use the in-app and Android controls for advertising choices. We will update the effective date when this policy changes; material changes will also be communicated through the app or website as appropriate.
