How Educlex protects account and learning data

Account information

When you create or access an Educlex account, the account system verifies your identity and securely manages your session. For Google sign-in, Educlex validates Google’s signed credential directly on the server and stores the Google account’s stable identifier, verified email address and latest sign-in time. A matching verified email connects to the same Educlex profile and learning history. Email/password authentication continues to be handled by the existing secure password provider. Educlex creates a unique internal user ID and records your name, email, account status, access level, subscription plan, creation date and recent login time. Educlex never receives your Google password or stores a readable account password.

Profile and study information

You may add an NCLEX exam date, first-time or repeat test-taker status and a daily study goal. When you study while signed in, Educlex stores question IDs, your selected responses, server-calculated scores, answer time, subject, topic, difficulty, NCLEX category, item format, session ID, CAT and assessment results, bookmarks, reports and study history. This information powers your private dashboard, recommendations and accuracy calculations.

Anonymous free-practice progress

If you use the 15-question free practice before creating an account, Educlex stores an anonymous random session token in a secure same-site cookie and keeps your selected topics, question IDs, responses, scores and timing in the managed database. A small non-sensitive progress summary is also kept in your browser so the interface can resume smoothly. Educlex does not use invasive device fingerprinting. If you register or sign in, the anonymous practice is transferred to your private account history; otherwise the anonymous session is retained for a limited period to preserve progress and enforce the free-question allowance.

Why activity is collected

Learning activity is used to save progress, calculate your performance, identify stronger and weaker topics, recommend practice and improve question quality. Aggregated activity helps the owner understand difficult topics, frequently reported items and product usage. The signed-in QBank accuracy leaderboard uses server-scored practice activity and shows privacy-preserving student aliases rather than names, email addresses or user IDs. A minimum number of answers is required before a student is ranked. Educlex does not claim that practice performance predicts an official NCLEX result.

Optional email campaigns

Educlex sends study tips, feature updates and occasional offers only to account holders who actively choose to receive them. The database records the consent choice, source and time so the owner dashboard can exclude users who have not opted in. Campaign delivery is handled by an email delivery provider using the recipient address and message content. Every campaign includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also change the preference in your private dashboard. Unsubscribing from campaigns does not disable essential account, password, verification or security messages.

Privacy-conscious website analytics

Educlex uses a first-party random visitor identifier to count page views, visitors, landing pages, general traffic source and broad device type. The identifier is stored in a secure, same-site cookie and is hashed before database storage. Educlex does not store raw IP addresses, advertising IDs or browser fingerprints for this analytics system.

Advertising and third-party technologies

Educlex may use Google AdSense on selected public educational pages to support free study content. When advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, and process information such as an IP address, browser, device and page interaction for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and, where permitted, personalisation. Ads are not placed inside account, dashboard or active exam interfaces by Educlex.

Where consent is legally required, advertising requests are subject to the choices collected through a Google-certified consent management platform. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services and review the Educlex cookie information.

Storage and access

Account, learning and first-party analytics records are stored in Educlex’s managed website database. Access is limited by server-side authentication and role checks. Students can access only their own dashboard and activity. The private administrator area is restricted to the verified owner account and never reveals passwords or authentication secrets.

Sensitive information

Educlex is an education service, not a healthcare provider. Do not enter patient names, medical-record numbers or personal health information. Educlex does not need or intentionally collect sensitive health information for study accounts.

Retention, correction and deletion

You can update profile information from your dashboard. The account deletion control immediately disables the account and starts the deletion workflow; related learning records are designed to be removed with the account after any required security, dispute or legal retention period. You may also contact Educlex to request access, correction or deletion.

Payments and external services

If paid plans are enabled, the checkout provider processes payment details under its own privacy terms. Educlex does not store full payment-card details. Secure sign-in is also subject to the identity provider’s privacy and security terms.
