Clinical judgment across six connected steps
Next Generation NCLEX items assess how a learner recognises and analyses cues, prioritises hypotheses, generates solutions, takes action and evaluates outcomes. Educlex uses original scenarios that require the whole decision chain rather than isolated recall.

How to approach an unfolding case
Read each new chart entry as an update, not as a separate patient. Compare it with baseline, identify what changed and decide whether the plan should continue or escalate.
After completing a session, review the cue you missed, the priority concern, the safest action and the expected response. This turns one incorrect answer into a reusable clinical rule.
- Separate relevant cues from incidental information.
- Link the priority hypothesis to actions that directly reduce risk.
- Select monitoring data that show improvement or deterioration.
- Avoid over-selecting options in partial-credit formats.
